The Outer Barcoo Interpretation Centre
The Outer Barcoo Interpretation Centre features the world class fossil exhibit of "Isisfordia Duncani" reported to be the ancestor of all modern crocodilians, which showcases time from now back to 100 million years ago, as well as the changes of Flora and Fauna from this Shires surroundings. "Isisfordia Duncani" is a Crocodile fossil that is unique to the world and not to be missed.
Other attractions within the centre include local arts & crafts, displays (ranging from nature to relics) and history in general about the Isisford Shire. This is a great way to see what this shire has to offer and what people can expect when visiting.
The centre also includes a 60 seat theatrette for informative viewings of local history, with oppurtunities for the locals of movie nights. Finally, a cafe is fully operational for visitors (passing through or camping) and locals alike, so just sit back and relax with a meal or cool drink for very reasonable prices or pop in and grab a souvenior, as merchandise is available also.

The Outer Barcoo Interpretation Centre was opened on the 14th of July 2006 by Her Excellency, The Governor of Queensland, Ms Quentin Bryce and is now open 7 days a week.
